STUDENTS' GUIDE TO ROAD TRANSPORT

TRANSPORT students often ask " The Commercial Motor" for the titles of " books dealing with road

transport." A satisfactory answer is

provided in the publication by Sir Isaac Pitman and Sons, Ltd., London, W.C.2, of " Road Haulage Operation," by George Dickinson, M.A., Minst.T.. at 15s. net.

Completely up to date, the chapters cover the syllabuses set in the examinations of the Institute of Transport and the Royal Society of Arts. Appendices deal, among other matters, with conditions of carriage, warehousing and the transport of livestock, and there is a comprehensive chapter dealing with the organization of a road haulage undertaking. The book is useful not only to students but as a work of reference for experienced operators.
