Ma. D. D. GRANr, Press officer, has left the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. A successor has not yet been appointed.
MR. JOHN ELLIOT has replaced MR. G. L. DARRYSHIRE as a director of the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co., Lid.
MR. W. L. DEAN has been appointed secretary of the St. Helens Sub-area of the Road Haulage Association, in place of MR. E. BILLINGTON. MR, E. R. PEAKE is succeeded by MR, T. WHITTAKER as secretary of the Warrington Sub-area.
MR. I. A. R. •SIEDEFORD, chairman of Tube Investments, Ltd., is to make a tour of the U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. He will be accompanied by MR. E. D. E. ANDREWS, managing director of T.1. (Export), Ltd.
MR. GODFREY CHESSON has been appointed a technical sales representative of Metropolitan-Camrnell-Weymann Motor Bodies, Ltd. Until late in 1939 he was serving under Mr. J. Atherton, of Eastbourne Corporation Transport Department, on the mainten, ance of chassis and bodies. During the war he was with the Royal Tank Regiment, spending over two years with the experimental wing of the Department of Tank Design.
A32 MR. R. J. NauEN area sales manager for south-west England for Transport Vehicles (Daimler), Ltd., has taken over the territory of south-east England. including the London area, prevliously covered by the late Mr. Hugh Mayne. He will be located at the company's head office at Coventry.
MR. M. B. DAVY, a director of ShellMex and B.P., Ltd., has retired. He was managing director of the British Petroleum Co., Ltd., when that company amalgamated with the Shell-Mex organization in 1932. He then became deputy general manager of the new concern, He was appointed a director in 1945.
