During the last twelve months the wide popularity of Vulcan Commercial Vehicles has continued to grow. Transport users in all branches of industry have found in Vulcan Commercial Vehicles a medium that offers most reliable haulage at economical cost, This popularity has been reflected in the ever increasing activity at the Works, where sales are exceeding all expectations, whilst, in the past twelve months, the number of employees has been gradually increased.
For 1933 the well-tried models which have gained such favour during the past year will be continued. Details of these are given below. The range of goods vehicles comprises four models-30i35 cwt., 45 cwt., 60 cwt., and 70 cwt. All these models are being marketed in both normal and forward control types. Each is available with differing wheel bases to suit individual requirements for body sizes, whilst specialized coachwork can be supplied to any model.
The 45 cwt. model which was introduced early last year embodies Ricardo patented features and has proved one of the most popular Vulcan vehicles ever offered to transport users. Since its debut its sales have continually increased, whilst earlier purchasers have placed many repeat orders.
One of the Vulcan specialities, that is the manufacture of municipal low loading refuse collecting vehicles, will of course be continued. Two models of this type are available, their respective capacities being 35 cwt. and 3 tons. A wide range of refuse collecting bodies on the most up-to-date lines to suit working conditions in varying localities can be fitted to these two chassis.
It should be stressed that all the engines fitted in Vulcan Vehicles are manufactured at the factory, and the body shop is fully equipped to produce all types of bodies for specialized needs and trades.
