Lihe fairer sex turned out in force recently to demonstrate to us fellows that when it comes to driving trucks they certainly can show us a thing or two. The Marie Curie Ladies Driving Challenge, which took place at Brooklands Airfield in Surrey, raised more than £13,500 for the cancer charity The gals undertook skills tests set by a BSM instructor which assessed parallel parking, reversing and judging distances They got the opportunity to drive a number of vehicles including the two artics pictured here, which belong to the Commercial Trading Company based in Esher, Surrey. The bad news for the ladies was that the event proved so popillar the organisers have decided to hold it next year—and to let men in. I know, I know, we chaps always have to go and spoil everything,..
