Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

haulage very seriously. However, once a week our quirky correspondent, ',11 Hawk, steps off his perch to take a humorous look at the industry to keep us all sane. If you have any off-beat yarns that illustrate the stranger, or sillier, side of the business, he'd like to hear from you. As a softhearted old bird, he's also happy to publicise charitable works— and is always interested in events for the vintage vehicles he drove as a fledgling. Drop the Hawk a line at Commercial Motor, Bird's Eye View. Rm H203, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Survey SM2 5AS, or fax him on 0181 652 8969.

Moving Words

hen it comes to the written word there is no greater advo

cate than the Hawk. Ever since as a young fledgling he grasped the concept that C...A...T means furry, purry beast with sharp claws, he has had his beak stuck in a book. Consequently he is a big fan of mobile libraries an was pleased to learn that Kent County Council has just taken delivery of a brand new Iveco Ford Cargo 75E12113 which will go into service in the Herne Bay area. The vehicle was supplied by Bristol-based Bryan Brothers; its specialist body was built by AG Bracey, also of Bristol. It has room for 2,500 books; from its base at the Herne Bay library it will visit locations within a 20-mile radius including villages, housing estates and remote hamlets. The library is staffed by one full-time driver and a librarian. It has wheelchair access (quite right too) and, I trust, regular copies of Commercial Motor on its shelves!
