• Free servicing and safety inspection for a year is on offer for Volvo trucks purchased between 1 February and 31 August 1993. The offer covers all parts and labour up to and including the first annual test.
Launching the scheme Volvo aims to offer a 'low start' option to entice operators to bring forward vehicle replacement schemes. In the current year Volvo registered more than 2,000 vehicles in this period but won't say how it expects the scheme to affect these figures.
Purchasers will receive a book of vouchers which can be exchanged for services at any Volvo franchised dealer.
Contract maintenance rates are also reduced for vehicles purchased under the scheme. Depending on the model and distance covered, contract maintenance rates are typically reduced by 40% for the first year (8% over the life of a normal five-year contract).
