• Eaton has signed a manufacturing agreement with Pakistan Motor Co to build medium-duty transmissions. Assembly is due to start next year. Both companies are evaluating a possible joint venture company in Pakistan; Eaton has also extended its licence agreement with Hema of Turkey. The Turkish company will add six and nine-speed medium-duty synchromesh gearboxes and 13-tonne single and two-speed axles to its existing Eaton product range.
