Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• No action has been taken against the licence held by Falkirk-based Robert Munro (Transport) following disciplinary proceedings held before Scottish licensing authority Hugh McNamara.

The company, which holds a licence for nine vehicles and six trailers, had been called before the LA because of its maintenance record.

Evidence was given that immediate prohibitions had been imposed on two of the company's vehicles in February and July, and that when the vehicle prohibited in July was presented for clearance further defects were found.

For the company, it was said that problems had arisen when the fitter undertaking the maintenance was away from work for a period of time. He was now back on the job and hopefully the situation would not arise again.
