• A. C. Penman Ltd, Dumfries, has dropped to under £400 the price of its power hydraulic system whereby, it is claimed, a container may be removed from the chassis in less than two minutes. The system now incorporates a quick-release locking device that enables the driver to unlock the container from one side of the vehicle simply by turning a lever.
