• Transport Engineering Services, operating division of Tate and Lyle Transport Ltd, have signed a sales and service agreement with Foden Ltd. TES will become sole distribution agents of the Foden range of commercial vehicles, both articulated and rigid, in the counties of Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset and a part of Glamorgan.
Additionally TES become official service agents for all Foden vehicles from their existing garages in Cardiff and Taunton and later in Bristol. (At Taunton TES hold an official repair agency for Gardner diesel engines.) TES are already service agents for Foden at York Road, Wandsworth, South London.
The new contract commences from January 3 1972.
