farewell to Major Frank Eastwood by staging a lunch for the retiring Yorkshire Traffic Commissioner in Leeds on December 6. Mr. J. T. Steel, chairman PVOA, was in the chair and Mr. Chaceley Humpidge, general manager Sheffield Corporation Transport, proposed a toast to Major Eastwood whose exceptional service of nearly 27 years as Traffic Commissioner was recognized by the presentation of a silver teapot, walnut tables and a lawn mower to which every operator in Yorkshire subscribed.
The lunch was arranged by the Yorkshire Regional Fares Committee, the chairman of which, Mr. Norman Dean, made the presentation.
