Road Transport Association has decided to increase annual subscription rates as from January 1, 1966. The new rates (with the existing rates in brackets) are as follows:— Initial subscription, including first vehicle, £2 10s. (£2 2s.) if light vehicles only operated; otherwise £3 15s. (£3 3s.).

Vehicles rates, per vehicle operated: Light vehicles up to 1 ton unladen weight, 7s. (6s.); medium—over 1 ton to 3 tons, 10s. 6d. (9s.); heavy—over 3 tons, 17s. 6d. (15s.). On average these new rates show an increase of only 40 per cent over those prevailing in 1945.
