• Bull bars are not dangerous and vehicles fitted with them are no more likely to be involved in a serious accident than other vehicles, claims a new association formed by bar manufacturers.

Set up in July to counter what it says is "an orchestrated campaign of

adverse and misleading publicity about bull bars", the Association of Protector Bar Manufacturers is to produce a code of practice and a seal of approval tor its nine members.
