I A British company has )ught the truck and bodyiilding division of American In Sheller-Globe.
CH Industrials already owns rry cab manufacturer Motor anels of Coventry: the newly :quired American operation is changed its name to Motor anels.
The Sheller-Globe truck and xly division had a turnover of 30 million last year. It emlays 350 people at two plants 'Norwalk, Ohio and Kings Fountain, North Carolina and a major supplier to Mack Trucks. Merrick Taylor, managing director of Motor Panels, has been named executive chairman of the American firm.
He says: "The scope for growth in America is excellent and by putting together our skills, we are perfectly poised to further build our world market."
CHI has also set up an American operation to market other automotive and transport products and services, including commercial vehicle seating suppliers Diplomat and vehicle design firm Tickford.
