BRITISH RAIL'S road/rail container carrier, Freightliners, has appointed Harry Reed to the board. Mr Reed has been director of operations and engineering for Freightliners since August 1984. He has over 38 years' experience in the transport industry and before joining the company held a number of senior posts with British Rail London Midland Region, including divisional manager, London Division.
