Karrier Bantam van to a mobile shop has recently been completed by C. Allen and Son (Bristol), Ltd., Hallen Works, Hallen, Bristol. in carrying out this work, the near-side panels and framework were removed and a new side made.

The whole of the framing isin hardwood, the panelling being in 18-gauge aluminium. The inside is lined in hardboard.

Constructed in 9 mm. plywood, the serving counter is placed centrally. It D12 is covered with grey linette Formica, and edged with polished aluminium moulding. To hold various trays, fulllength racks, made of 1-in, by 1-in. by Fin, mild-steel angle welded together, are used. There are two display cabinets, each of which contains three glass shelves. Each cabinet is faced with 1-in, plateglass windows set in rubber channelling, whilst the backs are enclosed by jackknife doors.

A hand-basin, placed in the bulkhead is supplied with water from a Therm-Urn mounted on the platform of the Luton front. Ther-e are three gas lamps for interior lighting and these, together with a gas heater, are supplied from a Calor gas cylinder carried in the cab.

For ventilation there are two Flettner rotary vents in the roof and two hinged Airtite vents in the rear doors.
