MR, FRANK ASH WORTH has been appointed traffic Superintendent of Oldham Transport Department, MR. L. B. J. Ews, Bristol representative of the Firestone Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd , has been appointed Plymouth office Manager.
MR. A. R. DUNNMAN has been appointed manager of the Scottish Co-operative Wholesale Society's motor body department in succession to the late MR. W. B. GIRDWOOD.
MR. F. K. POINTON, of Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., and MR. M. J. RICHARDSON, of the Eastern National Omnibus Co., Ltd., were two out of six candidates who gained honours in last May's examinations of the Institute of Trans port.
MR. A. J. HANSELL, Newcastle manager of Thomson and Brown Brothers, Ltd., has retired from active management and has been succeeded by MR. G. URWIN. Mr. Hansell has joined the board of the company in a consultative capacity.
MR. A. S. BISHOP, sales director of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Gt. Britain), Ltd., sailed for Quebec last Tuesday on the "Empress of Scotland" for a two months' stay in Canada and the United States. While there, he will study current tyre trends in the two countries.

MR. W. B. RICHARDS, chief officer of the British Transport Commission Police, has been awarded the King's Police Medal.
MR. S. JOBLING, chief traffic assistant of West Hartlepool Transport Department, has been appointed traffic superintendent of Bury Transport Department.
MR. J. PEASE is to become technical sales manager of Guy Motors, Ltd., and its subsidiary, the Sunbeam Trolley bus Co., Ltd., He will take up his new appointment on September 1.
