Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Thornycroft Mighty Antar is now being produced with a 15-ft. 6-in, wheelbase for export to Australia. As the wheelbase of the original machine, as built for the Irak Petroleum Co., Ltd was 21 ft., the new version has called for extensive redesigning, whilst retaining the main features of the original model.

In place of the 100-gallon fuel tanks, two of 30-gallon capacity have been fitted, whilst the steering and controls have been placed on the right-hand side. There is a two-line trailer-brake connection, and heavy towing hooks are provided at both the front and rear of the traetor.

There is a 100 h.p. power take-off on the auxiliary gearbox which provides the drive to a Darlington type-70 winch having a pull up to 50,000 lb. This is complete with controls and 350 ft. of 1-in, wire rope.

A Crane fifth wheel with king-pin is fitted over the rear bogie. The allmetal cab, which has wide rear windows, a two-panel adjustable windscreen, drop windows and direction indicator, has accommodation for a driver and two others.

This prime mover, with the existing axle ratio of 14.4 to 1, will handle a gross train weight of 100 tons at speeds up to 30 m.p.h. With a modified axle ratio and with the auxiliary low gear in use, the gross train weight may be raised for limited periods of operation to 150 tons.
