CERTIFICATE of Professional Competence students can sit their examinations outside Britain, but only in special circumstances.
A Royal Society of Arts spokesman confirmed this week that where it is impossible for the student to sit the exam in Britain, and where sufficient notice is given for a secure centre to be found, students may sit the exam overseas.
Recently, a student from North Worcestershire College sat and passed a national CPC course at a centre in Ostend, as work commitments kept him out of Britain at the time.
