Chelsea Borough Council has ac'ceded to an application from Leyland Motors, Ltd., asking that six of the ('ouncil's motorvans be allowed to take part in the C.M.U.A. parade. Larger Claytons.
Clayton and Co., Ltd., of Huddere. field, has for same time been turning out 31-ton vehicles, although it made its reputation, in the first instance, upon smaller models. It has. for example, just booked an order from the Roehdale Pioneer's Co-operative Society for a ai-ton chassis fitted with hoisting gear, and this will be practically a sister machine to those now in the service of the Huddersfield and Bingley societies. Two recent Clayton deliveries are illustrated on page 16l.
