More January delays
IN CONJUNCTION with the Automobile Association's Roadwatch unit at Stanmore CM has produced the following schedule of major roadworks for January.
• M23/M25 Surrey. Delays can be expected for all vehicles travelling eastbound from the M25 onto the M23 southbound — due to a land slip_ In addition, there is no hard shoulder on M23 southbound.
• M630v162/M602 Eccles interchange, Greater Manchester. Lane restrictions north of Barton Bridge for widening of the M63 two-lane section is likely to cause delays until February.
• M4, Gwent, between Junctions 22 (Chepstow) and 24 (Newport). Work causing lane restrictions on various carriageways.
• Ml, South Yorkshire, at Junction 32 (Sheffield). Coutraflow system operating around Northern Hall Bridge with possible delays, northbound carriageway closed due to bridge repairs.
• M8, west of Junction 5 (Shotts/Harthill) Scotland. Surface repairs on eastbound carriageway until February.
• A41, Warwickshire. Major roadworks on the Birmingham road 4.8km north of Warwick at Hatton. Delays expected.
• A34, Warwickshire. Major roadworks at Aldminster, south of Stratford-on-A von.
• AS/A43 Junction at Towcester, delays expected.
