Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

As distinct from tractors and self-propelled agricultural machines, six different makes and 13 examples of commercial-motor vehicles with internal-combustion engines are on view at the Show, and these range in type from the diminutive three-wheel delivery tri-car to a representative model of that somewhat,-cumbrous-looking structure, the motor tower-wagon. It cannot be claimed that the student of many aspects of the road-haulage problem is offered very-extensive opportunities to consider the practicable nature of all the possibilities of modern, petrol-propelled, commercial vehicles, and it is remarkable how the makers oi live-ton wagons of this class have this Lime left a cleatheld to what, under certain conditions, is its direct competitor. We refer, of course, to the steam wagon, upon the number of exhibits of which we comment elsewhere in this report, but the fact is significant. It bears out, too, our epitome on pages 320 aim 321. It should, however, be a source of considerable satisfaction to those enterprising petrol-vehicle makers, who have taken care to profit by the facilities offered for publicity at Liverpool this year, to realize that they individually, in all but one case, are exhibiting the only examples of each separate type.
