THE SCOTTISH region o National Carriers ha purchased another seven Sed don Atkinson 400 series trac tive units.
In the past the company ha specified Cummins 250 en gines in its 400 series units, bu this year has chosen the Rolls Royce 265L engine option hoping to better fuel con sumption figures. All seve units have Fuller gearboxe: standard Seddon Atkinso group hub reduction rear axle and Davis Magnet fift wheels.
The units are expected t cover between 70,000 an 100,000 miles each year o National Carriers' Scottis trunking.
