AN OFFER by Radio Forth to instal equipment to receive live radio programmes on the upper decks of Edinburgh buses has not been welcomed by the transport authority. Passengers who have in the past been treated to music and advertisements are, however not being protected against continued bombardment by noise but against strong emotion.
The fear is that those who disagreed with broadcast statements might give vent to their feelings by tearing apart the already vandalised buses. party political broadcast migh result in noses as well as ticke being punched.
