It-Speed Tyre

HE Motorway Special tyre produced by the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber (Great Britain), Ltd., Wolverhampton, arimarily intended for private cars but offered in sizes to suit light vans. As

its name implies, the tyre is designed to withstand constant high-speed operation. It employs nylon cords and is said to be outstandingly resistant to heat build-up.

Traction Battery FOR a given size of cell, the Kathanode N range of traction batteries, manufactured by the D. P. Battery Co„ Ltd., Bakewell, Derbys. is stated to offer an increase in amperehour capacity over their standard range of cells with an improved capacity-to-weight ratio.

Pocket Rule AN improved design of steel pocket rule has been produced by Stanley Works (G.B.), Ltd., Rutland Road, Sheffield, 3. The case is 1)-shaped and measures 2 in. along the bottom. The hook on the end of the rule automatically compensates for its own thickness, and the mouth exposes the graduations to eliminate sighting error.

The rule costs 7s. 6d, in a 6-ft. length and 10s. 6d. in a 10-ft. Types are also made in 2-m. and 3-m. lengths, or in combinations of English and metric systems.
