I Leeds-based Roberts fransporters, part of the 7irsteel group and sister !ompany of Charles Roberts Engineering has designed and milt a 16.5m se4ni-trailer ran spotter capable of carrying ip to 12 small or nine mediumized cars.
The development vehicle, vhich is currently undergoing esting and evaluation in ,ervice, has a fixed top deck )ut this can be modified to suit specific loading requirements. The trailer operates hydraulically from a PTO and uses Kassbohrer's hydraulic spindle screw method of dock elevation along with its airsprung running gear with raise/ lower facility.
Roberts' artic transporter compliments its range of drawbar carriers. In addition, the company is also planning to build three/five car transporters.
