• Smiths Crisps has taken delivery of 22 high-volume Tidd-bodied Fiat Ducato delivery vans with twin-axled, 4.725m wheelbase chassis conversions modified by AL-KO of Leamington Spa.
The 4.0 tonne GVW, vehicles with their shapely GRP bodywork provide 23.8m' for its 1.46 tonne payloads and a very low 505mm (unladen) access at the rear. A pair of quarter-width doors provide rear entry to the aluminium-racked interior.
Smiths Crisps sees them as a way of reducing its capital investment by 34% over the 7.5 tonners previously used and of improving efficiency.
