Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Fife Scottish Omnibuses has been put on the market this week, as part of the Scottish Bus Group privatisation programme.

The Kirkcaldy-based firm is the penultimate SBG subsidiary to be put up for sale. It has 300 vehicles, seven depots and 850 staff.

A management-led employee buyout bid is being launched under the leadership of managing director Derek Stuart. The winner should be announced within three months.

Stuart is also putting forward an employee share ownership plan (ESOP) to widen share ownership.

Only 20 of FSO's 300 vehicles are coaches. They are used for private hire and under contract to ex-SBG subsidiary Scottish Citylink, which was taken over by its management and employees last August.

The remainder of the fleet comprises 140 single-deckers, 90 double-deckers and 50 minibuses, which are operated by just over 500 drivers.

In the next few weeks SBG privatisation announcements are expected for Kelvin Central and Bluebird Northern.
