• Tankfreight has won a £1m-plus contract with BP to distribute wholesale lubricants and special products from Wales to the rest of the UK.
BP special products manager Peter Kitching says that Tankfreight's reputation for spot hire work was a major factor in winning the work. Nine other companies tendered for the contract; Tankfreight's tender was "towards the bottom" of the scale, says Kitching.
BP Wholesale Lubricants and Special Products previously used around 20 hauliers to distribute products.
