Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I F a jet aircraft hits a large pool of water when landing, disaster might result. To avoid this risk, the CimexFraser-Tuson company, of Orpington, have produced ..the Aeroduck, by means of which a runway may quickly be dried.

The appliance is an adaptation of a machine used for drying the turf of cricket pitches. A Villiers engine drives a suction motor and a strip 6 ft. 4 in. wide may be sucked dry on one run, the Aeroduck being towed by a tractor. A rubber squeegee in front of the rear wheels sweeps the water forward and it is then sucked into a 400-gal. tank.
