Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Booster has recently been introduced by Runbaken Motor and Electrical Accessories, Ltd., Magneto Works, Ardwick-, Manchester. It consists of a conveniently portable casing with a stout carrying handle and the necessary flex connections. One of these runs to the nearest electric-light or power-circuit socket and is, therefore, coupled to the mains, whilst the other lead goes to the inspection-lamp-plug socket on the vehicle dashboard, or it can be clipped to the terminals of the battery.

An advantage of this device is that polarity is unmistakable, whilst the operating costs are claimed to be less than 2d. for 10 hours' charging, even when the lighting circuit is employed. The larger Booster is suitable for charging a 6-volt or 12-volt battery and is supplied for connection to A.C. or D.C. mains. In the former case the price is £12 10s., whilst if an outfit for 6-volt systems only be desired the cost is £8 10s. A useful extra is the amperehour meter which shows the amount of electricity put into the battery by the Booster ; it costs an additional £2 10s., and is likely to be popular.
