/I clearing houses, taxation, insurance and licensing are some of the subjects covered in 17 resolutions to be placed before the annual conference of the Road Haulage Association at Bournemouth from October 26-28.

The East Midland Area protest against Government protection for the railways. The Scottish Area wishes national and regional consultative committees to be set up to maintain close liaison between traders and free-enterprise hauliers. Thinking on somewhat similar lines, the North Western (Eastern) Area calls for help by the R.H.A. in promoting interworking between hauliers.
