AN entirely new transport post, that of road safety officer, has been created by Schweppes, Ltd., with the appointment of Mr. A. E. Teer, a former senior instructor at the Police Motor Driving School, Hendon.
The post is believed to be the first of its kind in a commercial concern and the Minister of Transport has written to Mr. S. Hatten, Schweppes' transport controller, commending the step.
