ACOMPLETE railway station, at Ilkeston, Derbys, has been bought by the Midland General Omnibus Co., Ltd., who propose to use the site for a new garage to accommodate 40-50 buses. The station, which was closed to passenger traffic in 1950, is next to a new by-pass which is to divert traffic from the congested part of the town.
