MR. B. T. Pitarr, a nominee of the British Transport Commission, has been appointed a member of the North Eastern Area Transport Users' Consultative Committee in place of MR. A. T. Evaris, who has retired. Mr. Pratt is general manager of United Automobile Services, Ltd.

MR. D. H. CAMERON OF LOCHIEL has been appointed chairman of the Scottish area board of the British Transport Commission in succession to SIR IAN BOLTON, who has retired at the end of his period of appointment. Mu.-GF.N. G. N. RUSSELL has been appointed a member of the London Midland area board in the place of SIR FRANCIS GLYN, who has retired on medical advice. Maj.-Gen. Russell will relinquish his membership of ti's Eastern area board.
