The turnout of larger tippers for this year's Tipper Light event was disappointing thanks to manufacturers concentrating on their Euro-4 heavies, but we did end up with two totally different ways of doing the same 7.5-tonne job. DaimlerChrysler provided a Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 75 to demonstrate the farEastern 'big-van' approach.while the European 'smalllorry' camp was represented by the MANTG L. We filled them to the max and took them for a run that encompassed most types of road in just one hour of driving.They have the same gross weight, but that's where the resemblance ends... •
