Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Foreign drivers are camping in UK service areas for weeks on end while they wait for return loads, Granada Services admitted this week.

A service area at Birch, near Manchester, has come under scrutiny following complaints by UK drivers. They reported that they were unable to park because of the number of foreign—in particular Turkish—trucks that were parked on a longstay basis.

A spokeswoman for Granada says the corn

pany is aware of the problem, and has "opened up a dialogue with the Turkish Consulate to help us talk to the drivers".

Granada is monitoring the situation to assess whether it needs to approach other consulates after UK drivers pointed out that Turkish drivers were not the only culprits.

"While we cannot stop drivers from going on to the site, it is in nobody's interest if people are misusing the services," adds the spokeswoman.
