• Eurotunnel's board of directors will meet tomorrow (10 Nov) to decide how to deal with the latest financial setback to hit the cross-Channel rail operator following an international tribunal's rejection of a L2.5bn compensation claim.

The International Chamber of Commerce dismissed both Eurotunnel's claim for compensation and its bid for more money from British Rail and SNCF for using the tunnel for their passenger and container freight services.

But Eurotunnel will be able to seek damages for an alleged shortfall in the promised rail links to the tunnel. It will decide on its next step when it has analysed the 220-page report.
