• Whittle International Freight of Bamber Bridge, Preston has gone into receivership — but a new owner may be found by next week. Receiver Cork Gully was called in on 31 October. Whittle is still trading and Cork Gully is negotiating to sell the business. WIF employs 19 people witka pool of up to 60 owner-drivers.
