Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

have been doing some practicing and have been tested on the lines of the proposed heavy goods vehicle drivers' licence scheme. Problems have arisen when it comes to reversing articulated vehicles on the blind side by the use of mirrors only. Could you tell me if there are any regulations on this subject?

A Sections 85 and 86 of the new Highway

Code make it clear that you should satisfy yourself before reversing that there are no pedestrians or obstructions on the road behind you, and if you cannot see clearly you should get somebody to guide you. During the official h.g.v. test you will of course have no help and will have to rely solely on your mirrors to carry out reversing procedures.
