This seems a time for jubilees and celebrations. Last week K.J. Motors Group, of Bromley, Kent, held a very lively party to mark its 50th anniversary, with hauliers and C-licence customers among the guests. Perhaps one of the most remarkable things about the concern is that despite its growth (it now has a payroll of 300) it has remained in private hands, and its chairman today is the 0. Wilson-Jones who was the "J" in the original founding of the company in 1919. The Vauxhall/Bedford franchise has been held since 1934.
