The more powerful 0M601 2.3-litre diesel engine has been tailored for commercial vehicle use developing maximum power of 58kW (78hp) at 3,800rpm — an increase of some 5kW (7hp) at lower revs — while the torque curve has been raised by some 15% culminating at 157Nm (116Ibft) from 2,000 to 2,800rpm.
