FORMER Atlas Express group director Peter Walters has been appointed by Philips Electronics as director of physical distribution, a new position within the group.
The job carries responsibility for the distribution of Philips products within the UK and includes the management of London Carriers. In the latter role Mr Walters takes over from Oliver Potter, who retired as managing director of London Carriers at the end of last year.
Before joining Atlas in 1982, Mr Walters was a director of United Carriers. He has also worked with the Lex Service Group at senior level.
