FOLLOWING-the increases in the prices of Fordson vehicles which became effective on January 20. the revised amounts of purchase tax, applicable as from March 1. have now been announced.
Typical prices with tax are: 5-cwt. van, painted, with opening windscreen, £297 4s. 10d.; 10-cwt, van chassis with windscreen, £322 17s. 7d.; 2-ton lorry, £654 15s. 7d.: 3-ton lorry. £677 14s. I Id.; 4-ton 157-in.-w heelba se lorry, £774 10s. 24.; 5-ton 157-in.-wheelbase lorry, £802 17s. 3d.; Sussex six-wheeled 157-in.-wheelbase chassis and cab, £1,095 18s, 9d.
