Late payment does not present a threat to Graham Cordiner's one-vehicle business based in Peterhead in Grampian, Scotland, although he is owed £3,000 at any one time. The bulk of his work is hauling directly for Nestle, but he also gets return loads from a range of sources, and these account for the £3,000.
While Cordiner hos no contract with Nestle, he is paid regularly at the same time each month without invoicing; payment goes straight into his bank account.
