Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

From the Mount Cook Group in New Zealand I learn that the Denning Company of Brisbane, a member of the Leyland Australian group, has not, contrary to our report in CM December 9, given Mount Cook permission to build three-axle coaches.

"We have no association with the Leyland Group nor are the, three and two-axle vehicles we build a design of the Leyland-Denning Company," Mr E. G. Beckett, public affairs manager, tells me.

Mount Cook makes MCD (Mount Cook-Denning) coaches specifically designed for its needs by the Australian designer Alan B. Denning. The company does, however, have two coaches bought from the Brisbane firm in 1974, and these, also designed by Alan Denning, are still giving good service.

During 1977 the New Zealand-wide scheduled coach services carried more than one million passengers for the first time. That's a real accomplishment in a country of only three million people.
