WHEN Daimler Hire, Ltd., 243, . Knightsbridge, London, S.W.'', started, under the name "Daimlerways," its new venture of operating extensive tours on the Continent. detnils of its plans and of the Daimler vehicles being employed were published in The Commercial Motor, a full account appearing in our issue dated February 18th, 1930. Considerable success has been achieved with these tours, and, as the result of experience gained, the company has improved its arrangements.

The tour of the Riviera, Savoy end Cevennes has been improved by taking the less-known roads over the Cevennes and allowing longer time for visiting the towns of Roman France. A new tour of the Italian Lakes has been inaugu

rated, including a visit to Venice also a new two-week tour of the Black Forest and Swiss Lakes.

The tour Over the Dolomites has been Nlicirteffed• from three to two weeks, at the same time allowing more time in the Dolomite country and taking in the little-known passes of the eastern Alps, including the Lueg Gorge, Last year's Berlin tour and Rhine tour have been amalgamated into one three-weeks' trip.

The route over the French Pyrenees, Which. is used by a spring and autumn tour, has been considerably improved, and the Spanish tour, without the loss of any main attraction, has been reduced from four to three weeks. The Italian tour, on the other hand, has been extended to occupy three weeks.

One of the most popular routes which this company covers is that encompassing Central Europe, and this has now been extended by one day spent either at Kitzblihel or Budapest, which apparently makes considerable difference to the general arrangements and makes the tour More attractive.

It is interesting to note that, commencing from London on June 13th, the company is conveying members to the Rotary Convention, at Vienna.
