TWO HUNDRED and forty operators so far have booked to atte the Road Haulage Association's first annual conference abroad.

Arrangements are rapidly shaping up for the event, Novemt 12/13 to 19/20, at the Andalucia Plaza Hotel at Marbella, on Spaii Costa del Sol.

Mrs Lynda Chalker, MP, who, following the Prime Minister's Government shake-up, retains her job as parliamentary UnderSecretary of State for Transport, heads the list of speakers.

Industry representatives speaking will include Peter Capon, product development director of Leyland Trucks; Peter Thompson, chairman of the National Freight Consortium; and A. G. Ball, chief executive of

The RHA has invited AS1 the Spanish equivalent of RHA, to be represented at conference, and it is hoped welcome the president, Fr cisco Corell, and the direci general, Carlos Pascual de C ros.

The conference has been proved for grant-worthiness the RTITB on a two-day train basis.
