robbed of diesel during rest stops in laybys in Sussex and Hampshire to come forward.
Two drivers have reported incidents on the A27 between Chichester and Havant in the last two months. Men have knocked on their cab door and threatened them, sometimes with a baseball bat, or by implying they have a gun. They have then siphoned off around £100 of diesel into a barrel and placed this into a waiting vehicle.
Two men from Hampshire have been arrested and are helping the police with their enquiries. However, Sussex police believe this may have happened many more times than has been reported, and are asking for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 6070 999.
