THE Social Services Department of the London Borough of Greenwich has taken delivery of two Bedford YRQs fitted with Duple Dominant coach bodies incorporating a Ratcliffe lift platform.
These are fitted at the nearside of the body, and allow invalids to enter the coach while in their wheelchairs.
The coaches have 43 seats on seat rails, thus allowing easy removal should the space be required for stowage of wheelchairs.
The design and operation of the side-lift were modified by Duple to enable the coaches to receive a full psv Certificate of Fitness.
